An ongoing housing crisis across Inuit homelands affects the lives in Inuit communities every day. Inuit are overrepresented in the Montreal homeless population. Overcrowding, inadequate and unsafe housing conditions, a lack of available housing,and deterioration of traditional Inuit lifestyles and economic survival all contribute to the current state of Inuit housing across Canada's north.
