4 semanas 2 días ago
Press conference ahead of march and rally demanding Cops Out of Schools; the Board of Education would soon vote on cancelling or continuing the 33 million dollar contract that puts armed CPD officers into certain schools. Parent Laurentio Howard speaks about the continuing trauma experienced by his daughter Dnigma, after she was attacked by two Chicago Police Officers. The helicopter overhead drown out reporters questions, but they can be understood from the responses. Videos in notes shows the event. It is a fact that Chicago police routinely lie and falsely charge black teens and worse. There is too long a history of that, which is why the public demand for Community control of the police: CPAC.

Radio Ecoshock Show: HEAT STROKE: When Heat Kills (replay), Segment 1

4 semanas 2 días ago
While we keep pumping up greenhouse gases, and the economy staggers toward the exits, could it get so hot that large parts of the heavily inhabited Earth would have to be abandoned? I ask John Cook of Skeptical Science and Stuart Staniford of Early Warning: why are the public blissfully unaware of how heat kills? Scientist Mark Moffett tells us how ants adapt to climate. Will ants form the next civilization - after us?

Taylor Report: Free Meng Wanzhou, Oppose US Interference in Canada, Segment 1

1 mes ago
In this segment, Phil continues his ongoing, critical coverage of the arrest and extradition of Meng Wanzhou, CFO of Huawei Corporation, by the government of Canada, at the behest of the Trump Administration. Two central questions have emerged: First, should the USA be able to instruct Canada to ban Huawei from participating in deployment of the 5G internet technology in our country? Second, should Trudeau have agreed to a request from the USA to arrest Meng in the first place on the grounds that Huawei was doing business in Iran, in the face of US sanctions on that country? The answer to both questions is "no!"
