The Thunderbolt: TB 171013 Disposable People 2X, Segment 1

6 días 10 horas ago
This week’s archive radio show wallows in the slime! Beware! We start right off with a big wet kiss from a throughly vile mouth! Then, we trash the recipient of that kiss. Then we profile some of our nation’s ’enemies’ and some of our nation’s friends’ before profiling some of our most nasty politicians and banksters! Oh, no! Here they come! The Toothless Old Grandpa then tells us about the ‘new normal’, we reveal some ‘scary’ people and one ‘not-scary’ person, we describe how the Catholic Church has a long way down — and for the feature piece this week, we contemplate the capitalist phenomenon of ‘disposable people’. The Thunderbolt, where the right is wrong and the left is deluded! Listen at your own risk…

Taylor Report: Repression of Northwest Rebellion Fell Heaviest On Indigenous Nations , Segment 1

6 días 10 horas ago
The Northwest Rebellion of 1885 is generally seen as a combined uprising of Metis and Native Canadians, of Louis Riel, Poundmaker and Big Bear leading to heavy repression by the John A. Macdonald government. That is a myth, and the tragic fact is that the indigenous leadership had their own independent demands and peaceful tactics. John A. exploited the 1885 crisis to criminalize and crush Big Bear, Poundmaker and their people.

Subversion #1312: TROUBLE MAKERS, Segment 1

1 semana ago
It's been a long time since we caught up with our favorite Puerto Rican Montreal based anarchist Franklin Lopéz. Since 2007 we've been playing him stuff and working with him so it was about time we got him on the show. We talk about his trip to Puerto Rico (he's now there) and what the future holds for Sub.Media. As always we report on police violence and misconduct with BAD COP NO DONUT and we have our #antifa report with the help of Queen Antyfa. Since a lot of the world is unaware of Australia's harsh treatment of refugees again we broadcast the voice of a refugee in the Manus Island detention center and give a round up of what's happening.
