Make Radio, Not War!
Build Your Own FM Broadcast Station
Radio Camp: Madsion, WI - April 22-25

A four day hands-on workshop session sponsored by Free Radio Berkeley. During the 4 days you will learn how to build FM broadcast transmitters (and other related items such as antennas) and set up a low power (5-100 watt) community radio station capable of covering a broadcast radius between 3 and 15 miles depending on power, terrain and antenna height.

The workshop tuition is $150-$200 sliding scale. Transmitter kits are provided for assembly experience. These may also be purchased during the workshop session so you can walk away at the end with an assembled and tested transmitter. Average cost for a broadcast station kit package (transmitter, antenna, cabling, power supply) is just $300-$700, depending on kits and power level chosen.

The Madsion, Wisconsin Radio Camp session will run Friday through Monday, 10 am to 6 pm. Location is Free Wheel Bike Collective, 1818 South Park St., Madison, Wisconsin.
