Updates from New Orleans and the Gulf Area

Slim Chance & Megan from S.P.A.Z. (Semi-Permenant Autonomous Zone) talk to Saxophone Joe, of the Jazz Vipers, from New Orleans preparing to open the Welcome Home Cafe in Washington Square, Foubourg Marigny.

Phillipe Chavez also is eager to draw the tribes together for this homecoming.

Ross from Hartford Food Not Bombs helps lay out the needs the new city will be requiring. Construction and clean-up skills are going to be needed for a long time, but the kitchen and education facilities will be going strong for all to join in. Also in the region check out the Common Ground Clinic in Algiers, and Mama Dee in mid-city New Orleans.

Arjay Sutton gives a great update from Waveland, MS. He then handed the phone to Stone, the Emergency Medical Technician, who tells us the Waveland medical tent has now been staffed by five new interns and medical students, and next week medical staff from Stanford University will also come down for a duration.

Music Bob Dylan "Baby Please Don't Go" "Lonesome Whistle Blues", Allen Ginsberg's "Put Down Ya Cigarette Rag"
