Ex-IRA prisoner (held in the Maze prison in N.Ireland for 17 years) comments on the recent UK legislation which would allow 90-day detention without trial of "terror suspects".

The recording was made by Oliver King, Political Editor of the Guardian newspaper in the UK. It is originally an mp3 encoded file and I have re-encoded it to the Ogg Vorbis format (so that people that refuse to use the patent-encumbered mp3 format can listen to it using the Free/OSS players).

McIntyre asserts that the arbitrary detention of suspects is a fundamental violation of the principle of innocent until proven guilty and that the Muslim community is going to face the same abuses that Irish people did in the past. He also claims that the police will use this ineffectively and illegally.
