The trial of the Pitstop Ploughshares continues in Dublin Ireland.
The fourth day of the trial opened with the state legal team awaiting the ruling by Judge Donagh Mc Donagh on their submission that certain evidence should not be allowed. The evidence concerned being the items found at the U.S navy plane disarmament action at Irelands Shannon Airport, particularly photographs of dead Iraqi children. Preceding the ruling on the state submission the state also raised the issue of reports of the case appearing in the internet media. Judge Mac Donagh ruled against the state and the items were entered into evidence as defence exhibits. The state then closed the prosecution case and defence began opening submissions. The case adjourned until tomorrow when it is expected that defendant Ciaron O'Reilly will be called to give evidence.
