Egypts massacre of refugees, and freedom

Ahmad Shokr a member of the Arab Student Collective here in Toronto reports from Cairo, Egypt on the events that took place last friday. Ahmad also speaks on the conditions sudanese refugees face in Egypt and solidarity by the growing Egyptian opposition movements such as Kifeya movement for change.

On Friday December 30th over 7,000 Egyptian Riot Police violently, stormed a protest camp of sudanese refugees in Cairo, Egypt. The Sudanese refugeeses were protesting in front of the United Nations High Commision for Refugees to demand their status as refugees. The 3,500 refugees were demanding the right to remain in Egypt, and continue assistance to the refugees. At 4 am on december 30th when the riot police stormed the protest camp killing 26 sudanese refugees including young children.
