In Tokyo, my primary means of transportation is bicycle, thanks for sending me a field recording of a bicycle in constant displacement (somewhere in Italy, i guess). Riding a bicylce can be a metaphor to a cosmic journey, so i attached an ambient synthesizer audio with a deconstructed bass line to compliment with the beat of pedaling. In this audio collage, you observe an automated computer voice speaking in Japanese. I attached this audio to emphasize the contrast between machine and manual technology. But i preserved the distance and measurement which the bicycle has travelled, instead of reducing it as a mere sound sample.
Putting together non-related audios from somewhere between time and space, creates a new totality where it empregnates unthinkable meanings.
