The Palestinian Ambassador to the United States Afif Safieh was on a West Coast speaking tour hosted by the American Friends Service Committee www.afsc.org and The Resource Center for Nonviolence. www.rcnv.org
He spoke on July 31st at the Veterans Memorial Hall in Santa Cruz, CA to about 300 people and took questions from the crowd after his presentation.

The first file is his introduction by Scott Kennedy, staff member of the RCNV and then a brief presentation by Cynthia Matthews, Mayor of the City of Santa Cruz. Then Ambassador Safieh speaks for about half an hour. The second file is the Q and A from the presentation. I've tried my best to amplify the questions from the audience but it is still little difficult to hear them. Fortunately, he repeats most of the questions before commenting.
