Rad Radio presents a two-hour musical history of guitarist Wayne Kramer, a career which started in 1960's with the MC5 and continues solo today.

The MC5 helped take rock and roll music into a much louder and more experimental direction, while taking on the powers that be through expressions of sex, drugs, sonic noise, and radical politics. The MC5, from Detroit, was the only well-known rock band to play at the 1968 Democratic National Convention in Chicago, including their anthem "Kick Out The Jams, Motherfucker".

Kramer has continued his solo career through thick and thin, including serving time for a mid-70's drug bust. He cleaned up and revived his career in the mid-90's, doing much recording since. Kramer continues his political activism, including an appearance at a big anti-war concert in Washington D.C. last September, while currently taking his music into more exploratory and collaborative directions. He currently lives and plays actively in New York City.

DJ Rubble and Ben T. narrate this two-hour history, recorded live in the Enemy Combatant Radio studio in San Francisco. The first hour covers the MC5, while the second hour covers Kramer's solo career from the early 80's on up. (2 hours)
