10 killed in continues army attacks on the Gaza strip while in the West Bank army kills one and takes scores of prisoners, those stories and more coming up stay tuned.
The Gaza Update
Palestinian medical sources in Beit Hanoun, in the northern part of the Gaza Strip, reported that one child died after an explosive left by the army detonated near him. Also, one resident died by Israeli military fire in Rafah, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip. Dr. Moawiya Hassanein, head of the Emergency Unit at the Palestinian Ministry of Health, reported that Mohammad Khaled Al Za'aneen, 15, died after an explosive left by the army during a recent invasion went off near him. His brother Bilal, 13, was seriously injured. In a separate incident, one youth from Rafah, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip, was shot and killed by Israeli military fire Monday at noon.
A medical source at Abu Yousef Al Najjar Hospital said Salama Abu Adwan, 21, was injured by a round of live ammunition that penetrated his back and was centered in his chest causing instant death. Local sources reported that Adwan was injured after soldiers stationed around the Gaza International Airport, east of Rafah, opened fire at dozens of houses in Al Shouka area, damage to the houses was reported.
Moreover, one woman identified as Alia Abu Al Qomboz, was injured in Al Shijaeyya neighborhood, east of Gaza City after the army fired tank shells at the area, medical sources in Gaza reported. Earlier on Monday, Four Palestinian security personnel were killed and several wounded in an Israeli air strike which targeted Al- Shijaeyya neighborhood of Gaza city on Monday morning.
The four were killed when an Israeli jet fighter fired a missile at a gathering for the special security force formed by the Ministry of Interior. The bodies of the casualties were severely mutilated. The four were identified as, Mahmoud Jindiya 20, Mohammad Hasaneen 22, Khaled ‘Ajala 22, and Mohammad Hilis 20 and all were members of the security forces as they were wearing the uniform of the force.
The West Bank update
An Israeli army force invaded the northern West Bank city of Jenin on Monday morning and opened fire at residents' houses and killed 65-year-old man. Local residents reported that the force invaded the city from several directions and took positions in the city center and at the entrance of the nearby Jenin refugee camp. Soldiers took no prisoners but residents said that these invasions are taking place on daily basis and that most of the time, these attacks end by several residents taken prisoners or injured.
In a separate attack Mohammad Saba'nah, 20, form the village of Qabatiya near Jenin, was injured during an Israeli army invasion to the village on Monday at dawn. Several army vehicles invaded the village in the early dawn hours, and soldiers randomly fired rounds of live ammunition at residents' houses.
Saba'anah sustained an injury in his arm and was transferred to a hospital in town, medical sources reported. Also on Monday at dawn, Israeli troops invaded the village of Al Zababda, east of Jenin and stormed the house of Mufeed Turkman 36, searched it and damaged some of his family belongings, then took him as prisoner, and moved him to an unknown location.
Also, eyewitnesses said that troops stopped and detained villagers who were going to work, confiscated their Identification Cards and detained them for several hours, then released them to go home and not to work.
In Hebron, Israeli troops invaded the nearby village of Dura and took Khaled Amro, 18, as prisoner on Monday morning. Amro's family said soldiers stormed their house, forced them out under at gun point, searched and ransacked the house and then took their son to unknown location. Local sources reported that Amro’s farther died in an Israeli detention facility last year.
Meanwhile, Israeli army troops also took three children as prisoners on Monday at dawn from Azzoun village east of Qalqilia city.
Local sources reported that troops invaded and swept the village, conducing a house-to-house search. The three were identified as Leith Abbas, 14, Ayoub Mustafa, 16, and Ja'far Mustafa, 15, and were taken to unknown destination.
In Bethlehem, Israeli soldiers invaded the village of Al-Khader and took two brothers, Ra'ed, and Mohamed Salah, and Amjad Darwish, 26 as prisoners. Several army jeeps stormed the village, surrounded then broke into their houses turning their contents upside down. The families said that troops took the detainees to unknown location.
And finally in Jericho, an Israeli army force invaded Okbat Jaber refugee camp from several directions on Monday at noon and took one civilian as prisoner. Borhan Kab, 30, was detained and taken to unknown destination.
