Dear Radio Friend,

The latest Shortwave Report (November 21) is up at the websitehttp://www.outfarpress.com/outfarpress/shortwave.shtml in both broadcast quality (13.2MB) and quickdownload or streaming form (3.3MB) (28:51) It's free to rebroadcast, please notify me if you're airing it and haven't notified me in the last month, please mention the website if you only air a portion. If you just want to listen and have a slow connection, try the streaming version- lower sound quality but good enough and way easier if you don't have a high-speed internet connection. If streaming is a problem because of your slow connection, download the smaller file- it takes 20 minutes or less, and will play swell in any mp3 player application (RealPlayer, Winamp, Quicktime, iTunes, etc) you have on your computer.

This program will be aired on Friday evening at 7pm on KZYX/Z Philo CA, you might be able to stream via http://www.kzyx.org

There are several other streams that work better- http://www.freakradio.org Freak Radio Santa Cruz (96.3fm) now streams this program on Friday at 9:30am (PST)

Also check out LavaLamp Radio (Japan)- http://www.radiolavalamp.org

streaming the SWR, check out the schedule.

And the Partytown streams are great and informative- http://www.partytown.com/radio

This week's show features stories from Radio Netherlands, Spanish National Radio, China Radio International, and Radio Havana Cuba.

From Netherlands- Chile has recalled its ambassador to Venezuela following a comment by Hugo Chavez. Mexico fired its ambassador to the UN for criticizing the United States. Relations between the US and Vietnam are improving to the point that the US is leasing a naval base in the middle of Vietnam. Then a pregame discussion of Mr Bush’s visit to England with a Labor MP.

From Spain- US bombing of Iraq has been greatly increased, using Naval jets launched from aircraft carriers in the Gulf. During Mr Bush’s first speech in London, he warned Israel to not continue building the wall in Palestine, which Israel immeadiately spurned. An editorial critical of Paul Bremmer’s plans in Iraq. Then an editorial about the EU’s conflict with Israel concerning the validity of Arafat’s role in the so-called Peace Process.

From China- The UN Security Council has unanimously endorsed a road map to the 2 state solution between Palestine and Israel. Chinese scholars say that the Taiwan leader’s push for independence may lead to war.

From Cuba- An Italian official in Iraq resigned, accusing Paul Bremmer’s plans of being inefficient and creating more terrorism. The mayor of London called George Bush “the greatest threat to life on this planet.” Then a Viewpoint contrasting Bush’s visit to London and the reality of what is happening in Iraq.

All that plus times and frequencies for listening at home. I hope you'll listen and air this if you're connected with a radio station. I am still wondering how to get financially compensated for the 25 hours I put into this program weekly- any ideas are appreciated. Any stations rebroadcasting this (or listeners) are welcome to donate for production costs. You can do so through the website. Many thanks to those that have donated! No Guilt!
