The International Red Cross is now saying that Israel is killing children in Gaza and keeping ambulances away from the wounded.

Growing evidence emerged Jan 7 of the bloodiest single incident of the Gaza conflict when around 70 corpses were found by a Palestinian paramedic near a bombed-out house. On Jan 8 the International Red Cross reported finding four young children too weak to stand in bed next to their dead mothers, along with 12 corpses on mattresses just in that one home. The Red Cross reported they had to use DONKEY CARTS to evacuate 18 surviros from this scene of Israeli-made horror.

Mohammed Shaheen, a volunteer with Palestinian Red Crescent, was in the first convoy of ambulances to reach the site of the blast in Zeitoun since it was first occupied then shelled by the Israeli army.

His testimony confirmed accounts from survivors of the extended al Samouni clan who said they feared between 60 and 70 family members had been killed.

"Inside the Samouni house I saw about ten bodies and outside another sixty,'' Mr Shaheen said.

"I was not able to count them accurately because there was not much time and we were looking for wounded people.

"

Concerns had been growing that Zeitoun had witnessed massive civilian casualties after surviving members of the Samouni clan reached Gaza City three days ago.

They said that after the Israeli army first took the town on Saturday night soldiers had ordered about 100 members of the clan to gather in a single house owned by Wael Samouni around dawn on Sunday.

At 6.35am on Monday the house was repeatedly shelled with appalling loss of civilian life.

On Jan 6, Israel bombed two schools in Occupied Gaza

At least three Israel shells hit the united Naitons-run Fakhura school killing(insert death toll from Washpost)

About 15 hours before Fakhura was shelled, at about midnight on Monday, the IDF fired a missile at UNRWA's Asma school, in the Shati refugee camp north of Gaza City, killing three members of the Al-Sultan family - Hussein, 24, Abed, 19, and Rawhi, 25 - as they emerged from the toilets in the courtyard.

The United Nations on Wednesday denied Israel Defense Forces claims that there were Palestinian militants in the Gaza school bombed by Israel on Tuesday.

Christopher Gunness of the UN Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) said the organization is 99.9 percent certain there were no militants or military activity in its school.

UNRWA gave the IDF the coordinates of all of the 23 schools that are serving as refuges for the 14,000 people forced to flee their homes. Each of the schools hit on Tuesday housed about 400 people.

Cardinal Renato Martino, the Vatican's justice and peace minister, was quoted by an Italian online news daily as saying the conditions in Gaza "increasingly resemble a big concentration camp." This has led to a terrific furor from supporters of Israel, but of all people the Israelis ought to know better than to shell and bomb civilian populations the way the Nazi murderers did!!!

In the midst of all this death and suffering, the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine or PFPL managed to strike back effectively on Monday.

The Palestinian Resistance in Gaza lured an Israeli special forces unit into an empty house at approximately 10 PM Palestine time on January 5, 2009. The house had been packed with explosives by resistance fighters, and when the Israeli troops entered, the resistance fighters exited, detonating the house and killing 3 occupation soldiers and wounding 30.

As a result of this operation, the ground troops of the enemy pulled back 1 km and enemy airstrikes on the area escalated, in an attempt to destroy the widest area around the house.

Palestinian resistance in Rafah also reported downing a "zanana," an unmanned surveillance drone used by the occupation forces to target sites for airstrikes and bombing.
