Running out of novel approaches to activism? Here's what a couple of creative guys are doing; with a little help from their friends. The Yes Men have attended several conferences around the world, pretending to be representatives of the WTO and other such organizations. They say what the companies would probably say themselves, if they had the nerve.

Most recently, they gained worldwide attention when they appeared on BBC television in December, 2004 on the 20th anniversary of the poison gas disaster in Bhopal, India. They appeared as representatives for Dow Chemical. The "Dow spokesperson" apologized for Dow's part in the event and promised to sell off Union Carbide and send the money to Bhopal. Dow Chemical swiftly issued a denial, and The Yes Men then helped Dow deny all responsibility.
