Anarcon 2005 is is the 5th annual Australasian Anarchist and Autonomous Activist Conference. All anarchists from around the region are invited to participate as a means to develop national and local networks, share ideas, skills and just have a good time.

It is on in Melbourne, Australia, Febuary 26-27, at the CERES Environment Park. Entry is free, and child-minding and billeting is also being provided.

The first Anarcon was organised in 2001 in Melbourne, after the massive amount of energy created by organising against the World Economic Forum, September 2000 . Since then it has moved around Australia, from Sydney, to Brisbane, to Perth. While there have been national anarchist conferences in the past, this is the first time the movement has made it an annual event. In previous years anarchists from New Zealand and further abroad have participated and been welcomed. So get involved ‘cause thats the only way to make it work.
