An ongoing housing crisis across Inuit homelands affects the lives in Inuit communities every day. Inuit are overrepresented in the Montreal homeless population. Overcrowding, inadequate and unsafe housing conditions, a lack of available housing, and deterioration of traditional Inuit lifestyles and economic survival all contribute to the current state of Inuit housing across Canada's north. This radio documentary explores the roots of Inuit homelessness which are deeply embedded in colonial state interference in Inuit affairs and their way of life.
