From the occupied West Bank, activist, photographer and writer Matthew Cassel discusses the geography of Palestine, the economic occupation, home demolitions, the wall, settlements, prisoners and administrative detentions, the elections, the Sharm el-Sheikh summit and Israel's targeting of international activists. Audio Duration: 53 min 38 sec.
"When you hear about the violence and what the Israelis are doing to the trees - tearing them down, uprooting olive trees with gigantic bulldozers - you have to ask yourself: Who belongs in this land, the indigenous peoples that have cared for these trees like their own children for generations upon generations - some of these trees are over a thousand years old - or people who are willing to uproot them from the ground and throw them out like they're nothing."
