Maine Citizens Trade Policy Commission Public Forum

The Maine Citizens Trade Policy Commission held it's first public forum early
in February.

Child care providers, environmentalists, millworkers, farmers, health care
providers and others offered testimonies, and gave their perspectives on the
impacts the North America Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) has already had on communities
and express their fears about what is yet to come - particularly if CAFTA passes.
CAFTA - the Central American Free Trade Agreement would expand NAFTA-like policies
toCentral America.
