Though many peope at the park dislike all free trade agreements, and
many labor want fair trade agreements, a few others had a different
view
of free trade, including _____ ______, a former Canadian provincial
legislator.
Police shut down the border to allow the main march to through the
peace arch.

Later non-labor activists occupied the border road through the park
after pushing
their way in and out of both US and Canadian customs.

After a few hours of sitting, the police slowly moved in to take back
the border road.
The sit-in was on the Canadinan side and 6 Canadians were arrested by
a group of
about 20 police. 100 more ran in to push back the 150 people
rallying in support
of the arrested demonstrators. The border was shut down for about
six hours.
