New Chicago IMC Show: "From the Trenches" will air in Chicago on 88.7 FM Monday morning at 9:30AM. Check out www.wluw.org if your outside of Chicago.

The Chicago Independent Media Center (IMC)is one of dozens of non-profit media centers throughout the world operating independent media outlets. This winter, Chicago Indymedia began planning the production of a weekly radio program that would cover local issues normally overlooked by the commercial media. The radio program: "From the Trenches" a production of the Chicago Independent Media Center, will debut this upcoming Monday with an in-depth look at the Free Trade Agreement of the Americas (FTAA), and how this continental expansion of NAFTA will affect Chicago

communities. The premier show will air Monday, April 30, 2001, at 9:30 AM on our partner station 88.7 FM, WLUW Independent Community Radio.

The Chicago Independent Media Center is requesting story and article submissions from Chicago-area and other Illinois organizations for future editions of the show. The IMC staff will work with groups to develop, produce, and broadcast these stories. The IMC also asks for help in getting the word out about this new show.
