Vancouver court has agreed to extradict Tre Arrow back the the US. It now goes to the Prime Minister and at least one appeal remains, but US pressure on Canada seems to have forced Canada's hand.

The US government and the FBI have displayed an almost fanatical interest in Tre's case, along with all other ELF members or "Elves" they have been trying to catch.

Meanwhile, there seems to be little interest in solving a number of arsons of activist's homes in West Virginia where Massey Coal goons are suspected.

Not only that, recall the incident where an FBI agent in Summer 2001 discovered the 14 Saudi students in a flight school who wanted to learn to fly 747s but NOT how to land. The agent was told to "shut up and catch me the Earth Liberation Front!"

This means the FBI was too busy chasing Elves to bother with an investigation that would have stopped 9/11!

In addition, one can only wonder if British security forces have made the same foolish and deadly mistake, spending their time and energy chasing ALF activists but allowing Al Quada's terrorists to walk in the front door!

The history of the FBI in this matter is sordid-utter obsession with any suspected "elf" like Tre or Free on the one hand, but hands off right wing terror on the other. Abortion clinic bombings were considered "not terrorism" and the investigations given to ATF. Eric Rudolph was a rare exception because he attacked the olympics and killed police officers.

The arson of Ms Concepcion's tent in front of the White House(antinuke vigil) was ignored by local police, much less the FBI. Free Republic is suspected in that. Little attention is paid to repeated arsons in West Virginia aimed at silencing critics of Mountaintop removal mining.

In Tre's case, by comparison, the US has leaned on the Canadian government again and again and now a Canadian judge has agreed to do their bidding. Appeals remain, and the prime minister has the ball right now, but this is a damned hard time for Tre.
