Since October 6th 2003, the San Francisco anti-war movement has played an integral role in demanding an end to US international aggression and domestic repression.
Bay area labor organizers, environmentalists, veterans, youth, and mothers went to the streets in protest for months leading up to the war in Iraq-- not only against a US led invasion, but to show solidarity with Palestine, and speak out against the crack down on civil liberties at home. They responded to the government and media’s attempt to marginalize them by shutting down the city when the war on Iraq begun, a war they say is not over.
In this half hour documentary produced by Sarah Olson and Pauline Bartolone, the most influential figures in the San Francisco peace movement tell us the story of their mobilization since October 2002. Their voices are weaved into sounds from the street, highlighting the emotions of the most intense anti war movement in the US.
