Indymedia Radio London consists of groups and individuals working within the IMC UK framework to produce radio programs.
The main project of the group is the weekly Indymedia Newswire show which started in November 2002 when the group was given a slot on Resonance FM (London's only licensed art community radio station). The original slot was just half an hour was shortly increased to one hour once a week. The show has been running continuously for three years. That's an hour of content production every wednesday, week in, week out. There's no other area in the indymedia UK project which has such a hard deliverable content deadline every week.
The show goes out every Wedensday between 1pm and 2pm local time (either 12:00-13:00 or 13:00-14:00 GMT depending on daylight saving time) and repeated at 11am on Mondays. It is also streamed live on the internet at the time of transmission (see http://www.resonancefm.com/audio.htm), recorded and archived.
