Free Radio San Diego

96.9FM will be providing extensive coverage of the Cancun WTO protests from

10-14 September, 2003. These will include the reading of all current

press reports from multiple sources (several IMC's, conventional media,

information given to FRSD directly, etc) live reports from the scene via mobile

and landline phone, and talk show style analysis with members of San Diego

affiliated with this action (i.e., Cancun residents living in the San Diego

area, labor rights activists, etc).

The streams available will be

href="http://fast.streammadness.com:8292/listen.pls">24Kb/s (dial up), and

a 56Kb/s

(broadband) connection. People are encouraged to use the 24Kb/s connection

whenever applicable, in order to keep the 56K connection available for

rebroadcasting purposes. The group providing the stream has been notified of

the event, and if the need for additional stream allocation is required (in

addition to current capacity), this can be adjusted within a few hours.

All San Diego residents will of course be able to tune into 96.9FM on their

radio dials.

The primary call in number for incident reports will be 619-316-9683.

This is a United States phone number, and as such the country code will be 1.

There will be a Mexican phone number available as well, which will be published

as soon as possible. Callers are urged to use the Mexican number to lower their

own expenses.

The studios will be manned 24 hours a day, 7 days a week throughout the actions

to handle any inbound news reports.

Bilingual support will also be provided.

All regularly scheduled shows and programming will be interrupted.
