of the Education for Peace Center in Iraq, EPIC.
He was born and raised in Bagdhad, and has just
returned from a 2weeks long stay. Zaid encountered
widespread unemployment, instability, and life
quality that is steadily declining.He witnessed
the toll that sanctions, occupation, and the
on-going war has taken on his homeland, leaving
many Iraqis impoverished and in more desprate

An Iraqi living in Baghdad. Currently working
and supporting a family of 4. Mr. AlUmari
finished his undergraduate studies in England,
and went back to Iraq to help with his family
business few months before the start of the
first gulf war.
