Phillipe Calderon, whose claim to the Mexican presidency is dubious at best, has nominated hard liner Francisco Ramirez Acuna for Interior Minister. He is vowing to use force in places like Oaxaca, where protetors have bluntly called him a Fascist.

Already state violence in Mexico has begun the slide towards civil war. Bombs are exploding in Mexico City as people avenge the dead of Oaxaca, one "shredding" the building used by the Election Tribunal that gave the election to Calderon.
