From Beirut was written during the invasion and bombing of Lebanon by the Israeli Army in the summer of 1982. The author, Mahmoud Darwish, is a palestinian refugee who lived through this war which is not unlike todays war on Lebanon.

Home made show returns after a couple weeks off. This week's show was recorded in transit from boston to new york. There is music from a lower case v show in the ny subway (what does that even mean?) a band called dukecanaaragans or something like that, a band called the frenching, and at the end of the show an accapella version of midnight special. There is also gossip. 45 min.

One child was shot and injured in Beit Lahia. Israel's heavy artillery continued shelling northern parts of the Gaza Strip. Clashes between Israel and Hezbollah in the southern Lebanese village of Labouna continued throughout the night, and the army continues to attack residents in the West Bank and take prisoners.
