Lebanese-Canadian Community Rallies in Canada

Canada has yet to take a formal position on the situation in the Middle East, but did begin its evacuation effort of about 50,000 Canadian nationals in Lebanon yesterday. Lebanese-Canadians, meanwhile, are taking to the streets in response to the crisis. Aaron Lakoff has more from Montreal.

Bush Administration Uses Grand Jury to Encroach on State's Rights and Journalistic Privacy

Josh Wolf, a stringer journalist, was present at a July 2005 demonstration in San Francisco, where a SFPD car was damaged. Normally the federal government would not get involved in a local issue, but the Bush administration has chosen to take the position that since federal money helped pay for the car, through matching funds, they are an interested party, and can claim video footage of journalists.
