We talk to Jason Scott, creator of http://www.textfiles.com and the director of a new documentary about his passion for BBSs. We hear about what it takes to make a one man film with modern equipment. We also discuss the Supreme Court's refusal to hear arguments about the FCC's proposed relaxation of ownership restrictions.

The mediageek radioshow is a weekly critical look at our media environment, with a focus on independent media and the people who make it.

mediageek originates Fridays at 5:30 on community radio WEFT (http://www.weft.org) in Champaign, IL, and is also aired on KQRP in Salida, CA and KRFP in Moscow, ID. Noncommercial radio stations and webcasters are invited to air the mediageek radioshow. Please let us know if you air it.
