They told me they didn't need me anymore because of the coronavirus. Our work has always been undervalued,underpaid and our rights have been unprotected." Sheree Allen, organizer, leader of the Fight for $15 and North Carolina Raise Up Women accounted for all 140,000 jobs lost in the US economy during December 2020. Women are disproportionally represented among the low-wage workforce (64% with most paid less than $12/hour) and women of color have been especially hard hit during the pandemic (67.1% of Latina and 53.6% of Black women lost employment income since March
