Rafeef Ziadah is a third-generation Palestinian refugee and an organizer with the Coalition Against Israeli Apartheid (CAIA) and SUMOUD - Political Prisoner Solidarity Group in Toronto. She has been active with a number of grassroots campaigns on Palestine including the SUSTAIN (Stop US Tax-funded Aid to Israel Now!) campaign in Washington DC. She is currently completing her PhD at York University.

The utter hypocrisy of Rep Mark Foley could not have been revealed at a better time for opponents of the Neocon agenda. The same Mark Foley that voted for sex offense registration laws that can trap Gay men making out in parks is now found with his (ahem!) hands in the cookie jar.

There is suspicion in many places that the oil companies have trimmed profits to the bone in an effort to help their buddy Bush keep his cronies in Congress

Ironically they had help from Hezbollah, whoe victory on the battlefield in Lebanon is seen by oil execs as deterring both the US and Israel from going to war with Iran!

Plummeting SUV use has also helped by pushing down demand.
