The timeline is now so large and diverse that Paul is now only a part of the large team that gathers and verifies the multitude of areas. The Center for Cooperative Research is always looking for additional volunteers and data, so the true picture can emerge. That said, a lot is known as we come to the fifth anniversary of the day.

In 1957 the UN recognized the right to self-determination for the colony of Spanish Sahara. In 1975 Spain withdrew but turned the colony over to invading Moroccan troops. The UN recognized the government of Western Saraha in exile. A struggle for independence has continued to the present day with opposition members being imprisoned and tortured daily.
