"A Story of the War on Drugs and the Devastation of Black People"

We spend the hour talking with Eugene Jarecki, the director of the film "The House I Live In", a tale of the impact of the war on drugs on Black people and the development of the US as a prison state. Jarecki explores the history of the war on drugs and how it has been used against oppressed nationalities in the past and continues to be used this way today. Jarecki also explores what he calls "a slow holocaust" and the warning signs of an encroaching genocide. "The House I Live In" won the Grand Jury Prize in the Documentary Division at the 2012 Sundance Film Festival.
