The 21st and 22nd of august theNational

Indigenous Congress, aided by the comunities and unions belonging to the

href="http://www.nodo50.org/cipo">Popular Indigenous Counsel of Oaxaca, Ricardo Flores

Magon realized a meeting of autonomies in the community of Plan de Zaragoza, Nuyoo,

Tlaxiaco, Oaxaca, in the south of Mexico. In the event, representatives of diverse

sectors of indigenous, labor and students demonstrated their obligation to mutual aid

and in defense of natural and cultural resources of thier territories amidst the

implementation of divers strategies that permit the stregthening of the processes of

autonomy, which are every day more common throughout Mexico.

In spite of appearences, president Vicente Fox has declared that his government

is determined to "include" the indigenous communities in the

href="http://ftaaimc.org/en/2004/03/3929.shtml">productive develpment of the

country. The denunciacions of social and economic abandonment as well as

represion against processes of free determination are frequent throughout the country.

Americas transmitted through the mountains of the Mixteca region of Oaxaca during
