Manhattan Borough President on NYC Critical Mass

Manhattan Borough President C. Virginia Fields spoke to Pittsburgh Indymedia on Saturday, October 30 while in town to campaign for John Kerry. We used that opportunity to speak to her about the Critical Mass ride the day before in NYC and the behavior of the NYPD.

In the East Liberty neighborhood of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, the Kerry/Edwards campaign held a rally event for which Manhattan Borough President C. Virginia Fields was invited as a speaker.

Pittsburgh Indymedia's Rustbelt Radio (http://radio.indypgh.org) used that opportunity to speak to her about the Critical Mass ride the day before in New York City and the behavior of the NYPD. In this clip she says the ride should continue and that the NYC Mayor and Police Commissioner are using "strongarm tactics," similar to the tactics used during the RNC.
