Sometime today Federal pigs showed up at a location they thought was WSQT, but were refused admission on grounds of lack of a warrant.
Because of this the transmitter has been removed from the actual WSQT location and will be reinstalled in another location ASAP.
The Feds who showed up claimed to be "bureau" according to one witness. Only thing is, the FBI does NOT have jurisdiction over unlicensed radio cases! Normally only the FCC has any enforcement power over this, and relies on other agencies(normally US Marshalls) only for security during its operations.
For the FBI to get involved in this is highly irregular, especially as they would have to either rely on the FCC for direction-finding gear or rely on improvised equipment or methods of finding an underground radio station.
At any rate, this means the Agents of Darkness are very upset about the drubbing they just received from activists in the streets last week. We just went back on 1680AM on Friday, so the timing is higly suspicious.
. About half our programming consisted of nearly all all audio files posted in the first 20 pages of the Media Gallery on DC Indymedia, all Counterinaugural coverage from J19,20, or 21.
They can't like Bad Cop No Donut either, nor our hard-hitting coverage of neighborhood issues like the baseball stadium. Anyway, Bad Cop No Dounut and Between the Lines, along with the rest of our programming, will return to the airwaves just as soon as we get set up again.
Anyway, Mao says it is a victory to be attacked by the enemy, as it shows you are effective. It is also true, however, that every attack from the forces of evil must be follewed by a counterattack! Stay tuned...
