Peter Qasim is Australia's longest-serving immigration detainee. He could soon be freed. Mr Qasim has spent nearly seven years locked up He is now in a psychiatric hospital in Adelaide. A brand new VISA has been released, and now Howard reckons 1000 of asylum seekers will get residency. Oh yay this "softening" is such a beautiful thing...
