As Hurricane Isaac bypassed Tampa to pound on Louisiana, the RepubliKKKan Party got an ugly reminder of George W Bush's disasterous response to Hurricane Katrina 7 years ago. Since the GOP can't win elections by fair means after things like Katrina, the Iraq War, and gutting social programs, they have favored voter suppression tactics for years.

One focus of the protests against the RepubliKKKan Convention has been voter suppression, especially the voter ID laws being promoted in so many RepubliKKKan dominated states. These laws mean that people can basically "vote RepubliKKKan, and never have to vote again" as disqualifying voters without ID disproportionately disqualifies people who never vote for the GOP.

Here's what some of the speakers at the protests had to say about voter suppression by the GOP.
