The Plot Against Social Security - Lecture with Michael Hiltzik, ASU Downtown Center (Phoenix)
Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist and Los Angeles Times columnist Michael A. Hiltzik will discuss and sign his new book “The Plot Against Social Security: How the Bush Plan is Endangering Our Financial Future.”
According to Hiltzik, Social Security, in its present form, is not in any foreseeable danger, in fact it is the most efficiently run, successful social program in American history. Hiltzik explains who is really behind the efforts to “reform” the system, and reveals how the most frequently proposed “fix” would damage it beyond repair and undermine retirement security for generations to come.
