First we will be talking with the "South West Defense Network", which is a volunteer network that uses collective action to help fellow workers with problems around jobs, housing, and other issues.
Next, in response to the murder of Trayvon Martin and the release of his killer George Zimmerman, Houston has formed a community coalition called "Just Us". Last week, "Just Us" met with Harris County District attorney to find out about the current status of civil rights cases in Houston, as well as to discuss police misconduct experienced by the people of Houston. Tonight, we will bring you a report back from that meeting.
