Bush Administration Uses Grand Jury to Encroach on State's Rights and Journalistic Privacy

Josh Wolf, a stringer journalist, was present at a July 2005 demonstration in San Francisco, where a SFPD car was damaged. Normally the federal government would not get involved in a local issue, but the Bush administration has chosen to take the position that since federal money helped pay for the car, through matching funds, they are an interested party, and can claim video footage of journalists.

An interview with Atta, a resident of the town called Wallaja, just outside of Bethlehem in Occupied Palestine.

A mother and son, both American citizens, were savagely beaten last week by Israeli security at the Israeli entry point into the Palestinian West Bank from Jordan: Allenby Bridge. The victims were 47 year old Tina Hannouneh and her 17 year old son. Their crime? Michael, the 17 year old, did not understand Arabic commands shouted at him by Israeli officers who assumed he was a Palestinian.
