Jaballah is the oldest son of security certificate detained Mahmoud Jaballah, imprisoned without charge or trial since August 2001 in Ontario, and facing deportation to certain torture. In his testimony, Ahmad Jaballah tells the story of his father and his own story, having to grapple with Canadian immigration and security systems since the age of 11.
