Yesterday 51 protestors were arrested at the Pentagon on the third anniversary of Bush's invasion of Iraq

The original plan was to march from the Vietnam Beteran's Memorial to the Pentagon, but the Park Service gave organizers a lame excuse about "construction" and sunted the protest over to the south side of Independance Ave, out of sight of both the Vietnam and even the promised Korean War memorial. Organizers could have probably used the Vietnam memorial either WITHOUT a permit or by suing the PArk Service.

Yesterday antiwar protestors marked the third anniversary of the invasion of Iraq by storming the lobbies of Halliburton and Bechtel, then moved on to enter the offices of the Carslyle Group, a major investor in war.

We chose these targets because they are essentially the Pentagon's masters. This is especially true of Halliburton, which has gotten the lion's share of the "reconstruction" contracts in Iraq, whose former CEO is Cheney!
