Donald Drumpf Theatre: Donald Drumpf Theatre Volume 162 Steal This Election, Segment 1

3 months 1 week ago
An original radio theatre show each week, with most sounds culled from the previous week, about a fictional, theatrical presidency. Contradictions tell the story, with songs, skits, and clips from political news shows and late-night comedy routines. The definition of "radio theatre" is stretched here, with an updated Dickie Goodman and/or Richard Foreman-meets-mashup style sometimes, and a more straightforward take other weeks. Currently airing on 30 or 40 stations around the world, the network has ordered another 11 months of episodes. Anyone who would like to work on a production, or have their work air in this timeslot, should contact info@wgxc.org.

The Sonic Cafe: Sonic Cafe #175/It's Kind of a Jazz Thing, Segment 1

3 months 1 week ago
Sonic Café, that’s the late great tenor man Joe Henderson with a tune called Tetragon, which as all math majors know… is the name of a four-sided polygon, but we think it would also be a great name for a video game… sorta like tetris if you’re picking up what I’m putting down. So ahh how you doin’ I’m Scott Clark and this is episode 175. This time we take a trip down the steps to the jazz club in the basement here at the Sonic Café to hear the jazz go down. Some of you love it, some hate it, but you can’t deny, it IS an American original that we love. Our mix is pulled from 45 years. Listen for the great trumpet man Kenny Dorham, the Joe Sample Big Band, a cut from Joni Mitchell, Jerry Bergonzi, the Groove Collective and of course many more. So we’ll get out of the way and let our inner jazz loose as the Sonic Café presents, kind of a jazz thing, this time from the jazz club at that little café on the foggy, yet beautiful Oregon coast, we’re the Sonic Café.

A professor of management at San Francisco State University, Ronald Purser is a leading figure in the backlash against the mindfulness movement. Taylor Report: The Lima Group Clings to Guaido, Doubling Down on Counterrevolution, Segment 1

3 months 1 week ago
Yves Engler does a remarkable job outlining the latest details of Justin Trudeau's interventionist foreign policy regarding Venezuela, a policy that operates through the Lima Group and on behalf of the Trump Administration. Ironically, as the Lima Group ratchets up support for Venezuelan imposter Juan Guaido, support for his coup is rapidly waning inside Venezuela. The Trudeau government's role in hosting the meeting of the Lima Group in Gaitneau, Quebec on Feb 20, 2020 is closely intertwined with his participation in the Core Group on Haiti, by which mechanism the USA, France, and Canada persuaded their coup government in Port-au-Prince to join the Lima Group.

This Week In Palestine: Miko Peled, the General's son, tells it like it is, Segment 1

3 months 1 week ago
It is said that converts are the best evangelists. In the case of Israeli author and activist, Miko Peled, that certainly is true. Born to a prominent Israeli military family, his father was a General who was a major figure in both wars against Palestine, in 1948 and 1967, but later in life became a critic of the Israeli state as he became aware of its rampant Zionism and apartheid. His son, Miko, has gone further, and has become a sharp critic of, and major spokesman against Zionist injustice. Today we feature the general’s son, Miko Peled, doing his thing by speaking out at a Sabeel conference. Peled's recent book is "Injustice: The Story of the Holy Land Foundation Five" (2018). In it he catalogs the outrageous criminalization and dismantling of the Holy Land Foundation for Relief and Development, leading to the fascist-style U.S. arrests, sham trials, and jailings of Foundation President Shukri Abu Baker, Chairman Ghassan Elashi, and three important staff members. Please forgive the half-dozen or so mid-word flashes of hiss in this recording. We believe they were caused by flawed wireless mike transmission.
