did a little re arranging for time line and added ** for emphasis. Tried to clarify (highlight?) that a group left the main group, separating themselves from the soft tactics of the rally. then were joined by the second, much larger, group and sense of unity was strong. subtext: different tactics, but strength in diversity.

Script, about 4 minutes. I can cut a bit more.

Tentative, short radio script describing union and NGO protest in Quebec City on April 21st.

On Saturday, tens of thousands of people demonstrated peacefully in Quebec City against the FTAA and the Summit of the Americas. Only the beginning of the protest passed near the Summit’s security perimeter. Marchers witnessed clouds of tear gas wafting down the hill from the old city; literally, you could smell the tension in the air. The demo then turned and headed for a rallying point far away from the downtown core.

This is just a clip with no intro I think it can stand alone with just an achor intro. I'll wrote one here, feel free to edit it. "On Thursday evening in Quebec City Jade Paget-Seekins spoke with Michael Gangé of Salami about the movements use of civil disobedience."
