Israeli army special units backed by armored vehicles and Apache helicopters invaded the village of Araba this afternoon, surrounding a local house where members of the Islamic Jihad movement were thought to be hiding. Two Palestinians inside of the house and an Israeli soldier was killed in the subsequent shootout. 15 civilian bystanders and at least two soldiers were injured.
