\Hoaxes, payola, and press releases disguised as news. What's real anymore?

Hi, this is Jody Paulson from Moscow, ID with what they don't tell you.

In the 1997 movie "Wag the Dog" the president and his spin doctor hired a Hollywood producer to fabricate a war to cover up a scandal in the White House. I remember them filming a scene where a war-torn Albanian woman ducks behind a building clutching a kitten. In reality, the woman was a cheap actress ducking behind a blue screen clutching a bag of potato chips. Sometimes a movie can be more truthful than the nightly news.

I don't like the way this FBI's a treatin' me
I don't like the way the spies are treatin' me
I just don't like the way these guys are treatin' me,
Poor me, it's the lockup if I speak my mind about it.

War of the Trees is WSQT's show on environmental issues from lead in DC's water to Free's case to in this case teh inter-County-Connector(ICC) highway.

The ICC is a proposed highway in MD backed by Republican governor Bob Erlich and almost all the real estate and development interests. It has been stopped by teh public for 40 years at this time.

The ICC would cut through forests and wetlands now sufficiently isolated that species such as brown trout and spotted salamanders flourish on parts of the proposed route.
