The Phillipines Supreme Court is ordering a public hearing next week to consider Joseph Estrada's claim that he is still President and therefore immune from prosecution on plunder and criminal charges. The Court will also consider whether Mrs. Arroyo is president or acting president. The Court is allowing the Ombudsman's investigation to continue.

La Jornada's top news report, on Sunday, Dec 10, describes what the State Attorney General will find when he begins, on Monday, Dec 11, to review the files.
