The Republicans are doing everything they can to kill turnout in heavily Democratic PG and Montgomery County, MD. MD Governor Erlich(R)'s re-election could well depend on the sucess or failure of these efforts.

They have distributed "poll watcher's guides" instructing GOP party militants to go to polling places and aggressively challenge people's right to vote, citing any excuse.

The Wasnington Post is reportign that global warming has gotten so bad that the polar ice over Canada is breaking up. Due to the dramatic reductions in ice, shipping firms are one more eying the fabled Northwest Passage.

In centures gone by, hundreds if not thousands of sailors perished in futile attempts to find a Northwest Passage over the top of the Americas.

As recently as 1969 a US icebreaking oil tanker forced its way through the passage, but the route was abandoned after the ship received hull damage on the return trip.

On November 5th, hundreds of thousands of protestors marched for the freedom of Liberated Oaxaca.

Now it's our turn! On Thursday, the 9th of Novemeber, protestors will assemble at 5:30 at Lafayette Park, ands march to wherever Calderon is staying(he's visiting DC). On NEXT Thursday, the 16th of november, we will assemble again at the park at 21st st and Penn Ave at 5:30 PM. We will march from ther to teh embassy, and from there to the consulate on 16th st.
